Beyond brilliant, beyond amazing. I haven't had a game hook me this much in a very long time, and it easily is the only horror game that truly delivers on the 'horror' side where there is zero reliance on jumpscares (unless stepping on a bear trap counts).
The atmosphere is great, the music is great, the characters are all charming in their own way, and the art is amazing to boot. I recommend this game to people not only looking for a horror game but for the experience alone. The story is told through the environment and the characters much in the same way Dark Souls does it, and it is great.
9/10. My only caveat is with the Second Chapter being a little repetitive with its nights, but other than that, it's amazing.
