Every movie I’ve seen with Paul Dano in the cast has been a good one. And I luv him in this one.

Wow! This movie was actually pretty darned good! I was presented with few appealing movie choices - and chose this one not expecting much except the usual gratuitous sex and violence. This had NONE of that (thankfully), and was like a really cool TRIPPY flick that made me gasp “Whoa!” Yet it wasn’t so overwhelmingly freaky that I couldn’t watch it. I recommend it!

It was one of those quirky niche comedies — kinda like some of the Woody Allen hits I watched in the 80s. The actors were great. My only criticism is that at the end of the movie I felt like I wasn’t sure what it was about. Nevertheless, I did enjoy watching it.

Like others have said, this relatively lengthy film just flew by. I have a short attention span and NEVER would have sought out to watch this movie. But I woke up at 3:00 in the morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. I finally went downstairs and turned on the television- and Benjamin Buttons was on - and the next thing I know 2.5 hours have flown by, and I’ve been bawling my eyes out for the past 45 minutes and am a forever changed person. WTH?!? Starting my day with swollen shut, red and puffy eyes was NOT on my agenda - but you just never know WHEN you’re going to experience a life-changing event. 😆 That’s what seeing this movie was for me.

I’m a middle-aged mom from MA who doesn’t consider herself a boxing fan. I liked the movie because the main character’s large blended family of origin and the neighborhood he lives in are all major parts of this fighter’s story and are well-incorporated into the movie, providing the elements essential to its rich, complex, inspiring, heartfelt narrative. The outstanding performances from the “supporting cast” really took this movie from good to GREAT!
