I have just binge read four of Tracy Chevalier's books and started Virgin Blue as number five. I admit I am only 40% of the way into this story but am finding the part with Ella Tournier not real. I just can't warm up to her where Isabelle is much more real. The present day characters all fall short of being believable to me.
I am wondering does anyone else feel this way?
I will certainly finish this book as the author is still one of my favorites and I can't wait to read her next book which I think is about Venetian glass.

I agree with the post just before mine. This was the most unrealistic view of "anything". And yes all she did was throw her hair around. And take the most irrational view of everything that she could.
And you never leave children. Where do these writers get this stuff?

I started to watch because there was a picture of Michael Kitchen as one of the cast but he is mentioned no where so why the picture?
And frankly the show is too disjointed for my tastes.
