If you liked this book, you probably don’t understand the original series. Time turners were all destroyed in the Department of Mysteries, yet two more still exist? Time turners are able to go forwards now without you aging the years? Voldemort has a child with Bellatrix, even though she’s married and never showed signs of pregnancy? Harry is rude to his son even after being abused for tons of years as a kid, even saying “I sometimes wish you weren’t my son”? Cedric Diggory becomes a death eater after being embarrassed in the tournament? Harry threatens to sue Hogwarts and bring it down just so that his son doesn’t hang around Malfoy’s son? Harry insults McGonagall and Dumbledore? Some elements of the book are actually pretty good, I like that Albus is in Slytherin, it creates a new perspective. But other than a few little things, this is my least favorite book in the entire world, and I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a time travel book, not a Harry Potter book. Don’t waste your time with it.

This is a fantastic book, I can’t recommend it enough. When I first picked it up, I didn’t know if I would like it because it was a new genre for me, but this is now one of my favorite books ever. It’s not a huge commitment to read, as it’s only 300 pages, but when you finish it, it feels like a huge accomplishment. The emotions I’ve felt in the last fifty pages were so strong. This is a book that is fun to read, worth it to read, super emotional, and just so great. Please pick it up, you won’t be disappointed, but make sure you have tissues near you once you near page 250.
