I'll second David Winfrey's piece.....the 'crowd" at the movie house joined me in applauding...wanted to add a shout out with "we're here from the government and we're here to help".....but Ill just give Eastwoods opus 5 stars....

When this book was made into a movie back in 1990 the hoi polloi were cool to it, taking it as fantasy, now you have protests (metooers?) with women garbed in these Gilead fashions. Who runs this nation of Gilead with their oppressive policies. Satanists? Hindu's? Muslims? (No cause there'd be howling from the SJW's) No the leaders are (caucasian) Christian. A nut job sect, for sure but are there enough to pull off a "revolution" let alone run a country? Oh, BTW, who runs their banking system??? Just curious. Unlike the audience in '90 there's new blood appreciating the message. The "Wokers", the maga haters, the left and their media minions. When Trump is gone (and I'm no fan of his, just the pinnacle of the phrase "lesser of two evils") the power they'll have will move mountains and YOUR life is gonna change. This is just propaganda to ready the troops.

When it comes to other racing movies, Ford vs Ferrari holds its own...and the performances are great, I get to know the details of the amazing driver, Ken Miles and the gritty truth of the iconic 3 abreast finish which as a young race car follower overwhelmed me with pride as a great American achievement ...however my only beef is the depiction of Lee Iacocca (John Bernthal) as some muddling middle management lackey....which doesn't jive with the time period (middle 60's) which produced his vision-THE Ford Mustang...he and Carroll's relationship is minimal considering their collaboration produced numerous Mustang performance cars (Mustang GT 350) and Carroll followed Lee when he went to Chrysler TO SAVE THE COMPANY...Matt Damon isn't my fave actor but he does an excellent job playing Carroll and Christian Bale is his intense self...I truly enjoyed it....but given a choice Le Mans, Grand Prix and Rush would be viewed first...
