I don't know what I can say that has not already been said many times by many reviewers. I think just about every episode brings tears to my eyes at least once. I love how Jesus is presented as the Son of God and also a human (I may not have said that exactly theologically correct). The back stories on those who's lives Jesus touches adds so much to the miracle when it happens. It's not a random miracle done to a random person in need. It's a real person with a real life, a real heart, and who is deeply impacted by the event. While the back stories are for the most part fictional, they are very realistic. Regardless of the actual back story which is unknown, the creative story serves it's purpose to bring home the point and to help me appreciate the love and power of Jesus as he touches lives. It's not possible for such a show to satisfy every single doctrinal detail of every Christian denomination's creed. But I have seen nothing substantial to which I would disagree. Or it's so small, I ignore it. Overall this is a beautiful production that does a beautiful job of portrying the mission of our Lord. I feel I know and understand Jesus better for having watched this show. I am also motivated to re-read the New Testament because of the show. And that is a good thing.
