1) The main problem with this show is that it's taking on too much, too soon. There are too many characters, and that creates too many storylines. It's confusing. 2) The acting is less than impressive, but I'm willing to give this a pass for now because it can take a while for actors to truly settle into their roles. 3) Something that really bothered me (still does, actually) is that when Gavin approaches the government workers and reveals that he is (somehow) aware of a VERY confidential mission and provides information he absolutely should not have, they just blow him off and let him walk away! WHAT?! That's the LAST thing they should've done! It would've made more sense (and would've saved time) for them to bring him in right then. Presumably, Gavin still would have had the vision of his wife's ring, and he still would have been able to dig it up. The government workers (What are their names? They aren't listed under 'Cast and characters' on Wikipedia.) would've then been able to carbon date the ring without having to steal it, and they all would've ended up exactly where they are now, only faster.
