I will start off by saying this. If you expect this game to be like the first last of us, then don’t play it. The second installment I feel like is better in its own way. The first thing I like is that it focuses on another story line than the first game, and I feel like that’s good because it’s fresh, it’s not just same thing over again. Another thing is they let you play as the antagonist. This whole game as shown from the trailer is about Ellie’s vengeance, and to understand the reason behind it, you have to play both as Ellie and the antagonist. Naughty Dog really gives you the chance to play as both. In addition, the even better thing is the gameplay mechanics, graphics and character features that players get a chance to explore.
I just don’t like the negative hate people are giving this game even before playing it. Before the game came out, people gave it a negative stigma which caught like wildfire, and now people hate on it, to be part of this social bandwagon. A few concerns people had were: there were no bonds between the characters. Yes, there is. However, this whole game is built around Ellie’s revenge so you have to expect people to die because the story focuses on loss in Ellie’s life. Another thing, people were not supportive of the LGBTQ aspect of this game. Grow up, it’s 2020. If you cannot handle lesbian romance, you need to rethink your belief system. I really feel like expectation really killed this game. From the beginning, people were so hyped and that’s good, but they did not see the potential of this game with an open mind. A lot of times we see when things are different from how we expect, we tend to hate or criticize it. Play this game with an open mind pls. Do not believe the bad reviews here, they will ruin your experience.
