It is haunting. It's also completely unbelievable. The plot is nonsense from the ease with which Nelly returns from the camps (most were kept in DP camps for months) the lack of explanation about family members, the silly deception, oh and yeah, her husband was not forced into military service as even 14-year-olds were. Who fell for this plotline? Wow. It was moving in a way that a poorly written mystery can also be.
