2 stars for Tim Allen's horrible show but 5 stars for Molly Ephraim (Mandy Baxter). In this show Tim Allen demonstrates his true self as an extreme right-wing, misogynist, & racist; & this is clearly visible in every single episode. I guess it was supposed to be a comedy. It was just another version of Home Improvement but with Allen's right-wing political agenda where he made it a point to trash Democrats throughout each episode. Every time his black cast member appeared in an episode, there was always cheap shots at him full of racist innuendoes. The racist innuendoes went as far as to include the color of each of their dogs in relation to human race & color in one episode. Even more sad is that Tim Allen used the very young actress, Kaitlyn Dever, to also spew Republican venom for him. This, so obvious political propaganda, quickly gets old. Allen also throws cheap misogynist shots mainly at his wife in the show for her lack of intelligence as a woman & for graduating from a low-grade university, unlike his character who graduated from a better university. Towards the end of the episodes, there's a commercial (part of the show) when Allen promotes products for the family's sporting goods store but not before making it a point, in the commercial, to spew Republican propaganda & at times to denigrate women. At a time when the first black president caused an uproar amongst some Republicans who denied Obama as their president, this was definitely the wrong time to ridicule a president. Tim Allen helped to inflame animosity between 2 political parties that up to now in 2021, we are still paying the consequences from a continued division in the country, not seen since the Civil War, that has continued to get worse to the point of an attempted coupe on the Capitol by domestic terrorists. This show deserved to be cancelled, & cancelled a second time even faster. I hope that no tv network makes the same mistake to buy the rights to a show full of political propaganda that will only cause further division. "Comedy" shows are not known for their sensitivity. But political propaganda during a time of turmoil? Not very smart. And that goes for both political parties & TV networks. I want to see a true comedy show, a comedy show with neither Republican nor Democrat propaganda especially where a woman is denigrated as having low intelligence just because of her profession, education, or political affiliation (Democrat or Republican). I especially don't want to see minors being used as political pawns for political propaganda from either side.
