Avoid if you would rather watch a fun light hearted movie over Christmas rather than one that makes you sob your heart out.

Apart from the use of the F word continuously which is extremely painful on the ears. The actress with the pumped lips, lash implants and eyebrows had an appalling Irish accent. This should have been really good but the script writing and acting was sub par, it was depressing to watch so I gave up.

Not sure I can even watch this series if the appallingly music and dreadful acting continues.

Edit. Upgraded my start because after the first couple of episodes it redeems itself and is quite poignant and sensitive and an easy watch. I think this show was written by children, the Retirement Home Manager calling resident's dudes?? The whole show is stereotyping older people, I don’t know one 80 year old that can’t use an iPhone and is using WhatsApp daily to send photos and messages. A complete load of patronising rubbish which isn’t the slightest bit funny.

As the title suggests this film was a real pain. Not even slightly funny and the two shallow immature men as the main characters were totally unbelievable and irritating.

Loved every minute can’t wait for season 2! God when are we going to get season 2 mucked around with this and Yellowstone, I know third world problems eh! 🤣🤣

Isobel May’s performance was outstanding and mesmerising (Oscar worthy). I haven’t cried such tears over a series for years, her premature death was heartbreaking, I kept hoping Sam would come back and save her. A very thought provoking piece of work which stayed with me for days. The whole cast were superb. The Hollywood teeth were a little off putting and Elsa’s bleached hair with dark roots was awful, a better job could easily have been made to make her look a natural blonde, but didn’t really detract too much from the overall brilliance of this show.

A little cheesy but it’s like reading a trashy novel on holiday unputdownable! Personally I would love more shows like this instead of the physiological gruesome murders we keeping getting thrown at us in the UK. Shame it’s not being renewed for a second series. I’m 57 we can still dream!

This is a beautiful heart wrenching love story when Eli shouts ‘I cherish you ‘ I sobbed as if my heart would break. For me this is up there with the greatest love stories The English Patient, Out of Arica, Remains of the day. Emily Blunt is outstanding, this should have been a film and they both should have won Oscar’s!!!!!

One of the best movies I have watched in a very long time.
