i just finished the book, and i have no words. do yourself a favour and read this masterpiece. from the first sentence i was hooked. Madeline Miller's language and descriptions are so beautiful and long, yet succinct. the characters are so multifaceted and raw. at first, i was hesitant to read a book about greek mythology (something i dont know much about), but Madeline explains everything and everyone so well to the point where i felt like i knew them. And let me tell you, i thought i knew what was coming at the end, but boyyy was i wrong, omg. Girl, Madeline caused flash floods, torrential rains and tsunamis with that! ok. im done. read it.

no ragrets. This book was amazing! i haven't read for fun in years, and this book made me love reading again, i swear once i read the first page i couldn't put it down! I highly recommend, especially if you love romance books :)) i loved the character development and the initial character depths, through these i felt transported into their world and ruined the book with tears.

{spoilers} i really loved this book! However, i did find that the first 150-ish pages were quite slow, but after that i could not put it down! I was captivated by the beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking scenarios Addie found herself in, and felt transported into her world through Schwab's beautiful and authentic descriptions of Addie's experiences and emotions. the last 100 pages got me. omg. i was on the edge of my seat. I was procrastinating, not wanting the story to be over, but also wanted to know what was going to happen. i held onto every sentence. I highly recommend if you're looking to get back into reading :)

wow. a book has never made me cry, the pages are tear-stained and crinkly. this book is so beautifully written, if you're considering please do read it - you won't be disappointed!
