This album features some of Coldplay's first explicit songs, as well as going off trail of Coldplay's uplifting or sad music. Largely, this album is experimental, and makes several political statements, and in the case of Trouble in Town, actually uses an interlude of a police interaction for about 1 minute. Contrary to the previous Coldplay themes of bringing the world together, this album seems to be aggressive as well as divisive.
