Every year, there seems to be a need for the Tamil film industry to make a completely irrelevant movie on a sensitive and VERY OLD topic. I just have one question for our totally (not) nepotistic director, IS THERE ANY PLACE IN TN WHERE THERE’S A LARGE SCALE RELIGIOUS CONFLICT? No. Then why make such a film and stir sour feelings into people’s minds. (I’m stressing the words large scale).
Why dig up our past conflicts that are the result of the imperial government rule and pollute young minds?
Why put hay on the fire that has mostly settled (at least in TN where this film is based)?
One small but controversial statement, release this film in places where there’s actual conflict like in some parts in the North if you actually wanted to make a “message film”.This reminds me of people complaining about stuff online and being useless in real life.
This joke of a movie and a huge list of “critically acclaimed” film are doing the opposite of spreading awareness, they are planting the seeds of caste and religious hatred in the minds of kids watching them. Peak hypocrisy in action.
