Having just finished the series of the Woolworth Books I would like to know why Ruby's Husband Eddie was such a paragon of virtue? because in the Book A Mother forever Eddie was little more than a drunkard and a thief. He even stole his Mother in law's funeral money. He hardly knew his Daughter Pat and only lived with Ruby during the latter part of his life. An explanation would be good.
