Dame Judi Dench and Dustin Hoffman play their parts beautifully. James Cordon is a great narrator. I enjoyed the movie very much . Roald Dahl is one of my favorite authors. Esio Trot was his last novel and is a bit different from his stories which focused on children. It did cause me to tear up a bit at the end.

Very moving story, well written, directed, and acted.

I could barely stay interested in this movie. It’s poorly written and edited. The way it kept jumping around to different characters too frequently made me have trouble staying interested. Very cheesy and juvenile. Probably on my top five list of worst movies I’ve ever seen. It was so disappointing.
