In this game, joel and Ellie felt so out of character. Joel would've never helped a stranger at the expense of surviving. Even in the beginning of the first game, he refused to pull over for a random family just to save Sarah and survive. Yet now he saves a complete stranger at the cost of his life? Another thing, he survived through getting impaled by a rusty pole, which could be killed him by infection or blood loss, but died from a few people hitting him? In the first game, joel was made out to be invincible and very experienced in surviving but they killed him off in the first chapter of the second game??? Secondly, in the first game, Ellie was never as irresponsible as she was in the second game...and she was 14 at the time!! In the second game, her and Dina end up smoking weed and making out instead of staying on track and heading back home while Joel was, again, too busy getting his life beat out of him. I absolutely loved the first game but with the second game, it doesn't feel like I am playing a Last of Us sequel, It just feels off. I would've absolutely loved this game if it was made into another Joel and Ellie adventure. Overall, I was just pretty disappointed in this game.
