I had to stop halfway through this book. Right off the bat I am not a fan of the politics that were included. All personal political opinions aside, I don’t think it was necessary for the storyline. Although I’m always up to learn more about feminism I feel as thought the book could’ve done fine without it and probably could’ve been better. The energy coming from every character was low and unexciting. I didn’t feel attached to izzy or any of the main characters at all. It had an almost depressing vibe which makes sense coming from izzys background and situation but I still think it could’ve been more lively. I did, however, like the inclusion of theater and drama. I find it hard to find books that focus on that side of entertainment. That’s why I give one star.
