Haters will say it's slow and pretentious but no one can deny its impact on film as we know it today. Stanley Kubrick was a speck of dirt on a white surface filled with sheep; the thing is- he was the one who took pride in his raw yet classy style that served as the revolutionary spark that motivated other filmmakers to strive for perfection. Haters will always hate, but legacies live on forever through influence and reference.
