Visually, not bad.
From an information perspective, it’s horrible. Sporadic little factoids smattered with first hand remarks, overtop a droning dramatic bombastic music score does not make for a good historical documentary.
Maybe I’m a little old school where I like to hear more detailed information in my documentaries, and less dramatic mood music that feels more like a generic American war movie.

Edit. Read some reviews after I posted mine. I get the impression that those more familiar with the 1939-45 war, had similar reviews as mine. And those who many noted that they had very little knowledge, found this incredibly compelling.
It’s both good and bad for those people. Bad, because this documentary is not very well done, but good in the sense that it may prompt people to actually learn about the war.
Keep it simple. Use accredited sources as a springboard.
But please. For all those people who think this is school worthy, please don’t do it. Don’t show it if you’re a teacher. Don’t recommend it if you’re a parent.
If you want to see what’s still considered to be a fantastic documentary, watch: The World At War.
