Immersive, though could have focused more in some of Colombia’s most prominent cultural events. The whole “casita” and “magical” ordeal feels alien to the culture it’s based on. Though provocative, and trying to imply that Maribel’s power is being herself and tying her family together, it does not provide anything merely indicative of Colombian cultural events. Coco delved deeply into Mexican ethos and history, and they executed it well. Would have love to see the Carnaval of Barranquilla, Fiesta de Blancos y Negros, Feria de Cali, and Feria de las Flores (though Isabel portrays this, somewhat).
The music is fantastic, and you will have a good time.
