IDK why the ratings are so low on this one. The pilot may not be as great as some people would think, but hey it's the pilot, not every show has a banger one. The banters between Beth & Kev are witty and in some scenes, Beth seems to be breaking her character and laugh at the lines. So for me, I think it's pretty genuine, Stroma plays the stereotype of a no brainer jock but at later scenes, he picked it up and somehow his take it as it is POV is kind of refreshing and boy how a pretty boy can be so daft? Others who are looking for a tip of how to play the part can definitely asks him. You may not love some of the first episodes, but just give it a chance, there are some real problems there, ones that we face every day and that gives weights, they may not be all related to mechanic, automotive-related issues, but life/career ones, the ones that we all trying to figure out at some point in life.
