I really like this show, but it's just not believable... if you have a $250k budget, why buy a 'fixer upper? I live in NY, most expensive state and you can buy a new house for that. The first episode- the siding alone on a house that size, in that color would cost at least $20k. So how much money does the channel provide to remodel these houses? I'd like to see you try and do that in upstate NY. I want to see this show with actual costs so ppl can see what they're really in for if they were to take on these projects and have to hire pros to do all the work. Find and remodel me a mansion on a $125k budget, I dare you!
