STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOVIE UNLESS YOU ARE INTO WASTING ALMOST 2 HOURS OF YOUR LIFE!!!!! Spoiler Alert right up front: This is a rip off from so many other movies that it proved to have no imagination from the start. It was obvious that they had a sequel in mind from early on (hence the year) that it slowed the picture down. I realize time is different in movies but this one went an extra mile to try to add suspense and mystery. The acting in it is really good so I had no problem with the performances just the writing and direction. Near the end when Davey enters Mackey's house to get proof it is the middle of the day and the festival is just starting, yet when they find their proof its after dark and everyone has gone home. Did it really take them that long to walk down the stairs to his basement and open the locked door, come on.Someone wrote on here earlier that it would have been a much better movie if they cut out the last 15 minutes. I agree, They would have still acheived setting up the sequel since Mackey had not been caught and the most farfetched scene would have been cut out. Mackey is able to abduct Davey and Woody from the Anderson's house without anyone spotting or hearing him.Maybe if he had only taken Davey, but both, come on. The police are watching the Anderson house not too mention accross the street still searching Mackey's. No way he carries Davey and Woody (who is a large boy I might add) to his cruiser and then drive off. There is so much more but this should be enough to say why the writers and directors may have had a good idea or story but failed miserably in carrying it out, all to set up a sequel. Go ahead make a sequel and I'm sure that it will get enough people curious enough to see how it ends, but I for one would not waste my time watching to see how the can screw up another movie and waste another 2 hours of my life. NO THANK YOU!!!!!
