Honestly, I really enjoyed this animation. There are many reasons as to why I liked this film, a few of the reasons are: it's family friendly, it's very neat and the visuals and graphics of the movie are stunning and awe inspiring, it's cute, adorable, and funny, and it has a strong story plot. Many people's have criticized this movie because it supposedly body shamed women, and people have misinterpreted the movies meaning by stating that the movie claims that if you are fat, then you are not beautiful. However, that is not the movies meaning or theme. The movie is about a princess, who does not fit your typical princess standards and is on the more rounder side, and already that's something that no princess film or animation has done before, and how she meets these 7 young men who are trapped under a curse where they appear to be hideous, tiny, green, little trolls/ dwarfves that hope to break their curse by getting a kiss from the most beautiful women in the land. However, throughout the movie we see that Snow White, Red Shoes, is a princess who is able to handle herself just fine, and can take charge when needed, which is also a very special message to girls, that you don't need a man to save you, and you can be your own hero, because you are an awesome, strong, brave, empowered woman. But also the fact that there are not a lot of princesses who take charge and are not the delicate, tiny, fragile princesses animators usually portray, Snow White is a total heroine, that isn't afraid to give a strong punch back. How fate plays it's cards by reversing their luck, and one of the 7 young men, Merlin, falls in love with Snow White, who goes under the alias Red Shoes, by her appearance wearing magical red shoes. Later when Snow White shows Merlin her true face he cannot accept that and turns her away, but later realizing that she loved him, not for his appearence, but for his personality. In the end Merlin accepts Snow White for who she is, not for her beautiful appearance made from the shoes, but for the kind, compassionate, loyal princess who has risked her life to save him multiple times. And that ladies and Gentlemen is the real message of this movie: even though you may not be the most beautiful, or the most thin person in the world, you are beautiful just the way you are, and you should love yourself for just the way you are, and one day someone will come to show you just how beautiful and special you are to them. This movie deserves a 10 out of 10 because it goes against the molds and double standards created by society, and tells us to be who we are and who we want to be. This movie encourages those who may not be confident in themselves to find courage and realize that it doesn't matter what people think or see, there's no one you would rather be. Acceptance, humor, drama, action, adventure, happiness, friendship, love, compassion, and self live all wrapped up into one movie will make the time being worth while. Red Shoes And The Seven Dwarfves, remember that title people.
