Started off as a horror game, and then it turned into an action, "Shoot em up, Loot em up" kinda deal. The cutscenes were dope as hell, but the playing experience made a turning point after you defeat Lord Beneviento.
Had really high hopes for this because RE7 was so freaking thrilling from start to finish and kept you on the edge of your seat almost throughout the game. But this game felt like it was all hype and although the storyline was amazing, I really found myself missing the creepy, horror and grotesque atmosphere of RE7.
All that being said, not a bad game at all. Could have been worse.
But the ending made the game for me.
