The script is dry, sharp and at the same time smooth. It has the voice of the generation who had to come to terms with the very real possibility of an authoritarian coup within the democratic institutional setting. Petra is 5 years older than my daughter. They grew up under a newly conquered democracy that we, their parents, took for granted. That was our mistake. Watching this movie was at the same time painful and peaceful. The first person narrative of a girl trying to make sense of a disaster she grew up assuming to be impossible.
