I am SO impressed by this man. I remember his grilling by the Senate as being one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever watched. It was a lynching, and that style of interrogation continues to this day. Disgusting.
I am so glad that not giving up was one of the things he learned from his grandfather; the closing scene with the bust above his desk was so meaningful.
As a white, 70 year old female, retired elementary teacher, I'd love to sit around a campfire with Justice Thomas and talk. I wish I had used him as an important person who shaped laws and the future of our country when I was teaching. He is very impressive.
The documentary was fantastic- not predictable. REAL.
