I have never seen this film, but felt I should say something since I was asked. I love reviewing things, whatever they may be, whether I know anything about them or not. Based on recent cinematic experiences it is probably not great, but who knows? No one would be happier than me if it turned out to be wonderful. There is nothing better than a good movie, but they just don’t seem to want to make them anymore. Is it because of dwindling concentration spans? The idiocy brought about (quite deliberately to my mind) by so-called social media? After all, it would, would it not, effect those writing, directing and producing films as much as those in the audience? Thus we end up with
cinema by cretins for cretins. Bloody great stupid superhero nonsense, horror crap, endless bull dust. Let’s hope Mr Soderbergh, who I have never really been a fan of, has done something to reverse the trend towards schlock and crass, vacuous action flicks. Either that or the kid gets it.
