What a silly story, so predictable.The main character Maya is thoroughly unlikeable. Richard Armitage, a great actor, is wasted in this story. Joanna Lumley just about gets by. The rest, not worth mentioning and the the plot full of holes. I'm looking for real BBC crime thrillers, not these pretenders.

Why on earth would Julian Fellowes put his name on this mundane series? (especially after Downton Abbey) The characters are dull, the scenery, plot and everything else. It seems and sounds like fake, honestly. Has he not seen "The Age of Innocence"?

A very lazy thriller, full of plot holes. How come Cassie lives in the same area and no one notices her for 17 years? How come a police chief is murdered and no one notices it? What's with the dancing act from the crazy detective/hire-guns? Is it supposed to be funny? The final episode had many twists, but they don't make up for the faulty plot holes. I never understand why Harlan Coben is so popular, despite his below average thrillers. The cast is good, but the story is not.

Very bad, especially the short episodes as though there was something mysterious to watch. There isn't. If it weren't for Christopher Waltz, I wouldn't watch this show. Liam Hemsworth, Dodge Tynes, how could anyone act so badly? A good figure and a passable face doesn't make an actor. So many talented actors come from Australia, but he sure isn't one. What a farce. Don't waste your time.

Never mind the NYT and the Guardian reviews. This is a visual feast, with a great cast, #ArmieHammer #LilyJames and #KristinScottThomas as Mrs Danvers. #Rebecca so much better than the original film.
