John Green is a name that needs no introduction because of his enthralling contributions in the world of literature. Moreover, I believe that all fiction lovers have this inherent love for snow and the jolly season for a reason unknown which makes this book a perfect reading delight. I purchased the book from an online store along with three other books which were all included in my winters collection. The book comes in a minimal yet elegant cover reflecting the hues of deep to cool blues with three roughly drawn snowflakes, each carrying the name of one author.
Surprisingly, two other brilliant writers Maureen Johnson, the author of 13 Little Blue Envelopes and Lauren Myracle, the author of ttyl and Shine collaborated with John Green in this marvelous creation. Honestly, I have never heard about them before but both of them have a distinct and solid writing style.
However, upon reading the book you come to know that it is just an average read with nothing special as such which disappointed me to a greater extent. It was just a composition of three, very mainstream romances which we can find in every single book and series nowadays. There was an absence of hooks and cliff-hangers for creating anticipation among the readers and the urge to read the next story. I remember reading The Jubilee Express and The Cheertastic Christmas Miracle in a row however I completed the last story; The Patron Saint of Pigs a month later because there was no cliff-hanger at the end of John Green's part. This could've been improved however, I would rate this novel as 5/10.
