Loving it so far, the Goonies vibe is a perfect fit for exploring a new part of the Galaxy for a new generation of fans and, as an old fan, I was smiling the whole time. I would give it 5 stars if the runtime was longer, 30 minutes is simply not enough time to tell a full story in this setting which is, sadly, a flaw Star Wars shows seem intent on keeping. The production value is great, as it should be considering this is Lucasfilm/Disney. The score is fantastic (not surprising from Star Wars), visuals, costume design, and set pieces are all really well done. There hasn’t been a moment where I’ve thought “wow that set LOOKS like a set”. The story is more interesting than I expected it to be, I can see where the character arcs for the kids is going from 12 parsecs away but that doesn’t detract from anything. The lore it’s adding to the universe is fascinating. I was already excited to see a normal everyday planet rather than Desert Poverty Wasteland #6, but episode 2 goes into some stuff that elevated the mystery and interest beyond what I expected and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds. All in all a fun watch, don’t let angry right wing dude bros complaining about DEI and Wokeness dissuade you from watching it.

Fresh settings, amazing effects, great acting and the fight scenes were enthralling. Couple that with the mystery angle the show is going for and you get a great new look at the Star Wars universe. Can’t wait for more!

Normally when people dislike a movie that I like, I can see their opinions and understand (albeit disagree with) what they’re saying. However, with Godzilla: King of the Monsters, I don’t. As an actor with a passion for film and as a massive Godzilla fan, I left that theatre completely satisfied. From the first moment to the end credit scene, I was absolutely enthralled. The acting was stellar, the writing left nothing to be desired (Though there was plenty of exposition (but it was finely written exposition)) and the visuals were masterful. I have read a few reviews up until now and I genuinely don’t understand what critics are talking about. 10/10 gonna see 30 more times
