WORTH REVISITING!!! When the movie was released in 2005/2006 I, like many, felt confused about this movie and where it was going. Almost Famous had cast a long and massive shadow over this little gem on its own right. It is a beautiful mess - exactly how how life and love is. The theme of love is put together so very - paternal, lost love, love found, familial bonds, self worth - it is all there. Wallow in it and let it take over you. Kirsten Dunst shines bright and is as memorable as she was when I first saw the film and Orlando Bloom (I was so very wrong about his work in this film) played his lead role with lovely warmth and subtlety. The rest of the cast is gorgeous and perfect! Susan Sarandon steals the movie with her character’s dance. Thank you Cameron Crowe - for this hugely under appreciated work. ❤️
