I'm watching it for the second time now and honestly I'm noticing things that I didn't see before and love it. The show is definitely one of my favourites.
I love the original incorporation of werewolves.
I understand that some of the characters seem a bit one dimensional but I personally think that all of the main characters and even most of the side/supporting characters were pretty real.
I actually liked the use of stereotypes in some instances. Like the extremely dumb, shallow girl stereotype lightened the mood when something terrible had happened.
I did notice a couple of plot holes but nothing too serious and most definitely nothing I haven't seen in other shows.
The show itself is complex and original in a way that almost seems familiar.
I am of the opinion that the writing was not the worst I've seen and I thoroughly enjoyed the first season.
A few things bothered me though:
Indifference to death/murder
The excessive use of the F word
And the fact that Jack was shown to be very intelligent in the first few episodes but in the rest of the show we didn't really have to do with that side of him again.
All said, I'm hoping to see a second season.
I will definitely tune in for that!
