Director Taika Waititi delivers again with a Thor movie that can be appreciated on multiple levels. The 4th Thor movie is centered around Love and death . Taika takes us on a journey beginning with how cruel it may seem when love and death can be intertwined. Throughout the movie we are shown that these concepts may seem cruel, but interwoven, they create a beautiful tapestry that isn’t defined by time. Of course with such a serious undertone, the story needed something to contrast it with. Taika used the same comedic formula he used in Thor Ragnarok which I absolutely love. The comedy with the cruel/serious undertone blended really well. During all of this we still learn more about the Marvel Universe, more characters are introduced as well as locations we haven’t been to before. The cast did an awesome job in their performances. Christian Bale did well with his character as many people predicted he would. In my opinion only of course, I don’t think a such a high profile actor was necessary based on the amount of on screen time and actual dialogue for that character.
Overall I thought the movie was amazing. I would give it 4.5/5 ⭐️. The only thing I would recommend is changing the comic relief. I love Gorg and Miek and I know Taika loves being in his own movies. If he wants to keep using that style of comedic relief, I recommend bringing in someone like Awkwafina and maybe taking a backseat in that roll.
Would love to write more but I’m tired…😂😂😂
