Interesting twist on the "teenager develops superpowers" genre: a teenage boy discovers that he is actually Thor and is called to defend humanity from jotuns (giants--basically evil immortal shapeshifters in this version) who are causing environmental degradation. It's a show with plenty of flaws, but a brooding Nordic sensibility against magnificent scenery, likeable characters, and some genuinely mythic moments. I liked the social commentary though some may find it a bit too on the nose.
