If you want to see all the pleasures of drugs, sex and mindless irresponsibility on repeat without a single negative consequence watch this movie. It’s a movie so it’s able to paint a completely unrealistic illusion of amorality without consequence but that is not reality. Quite a disappointment from McConaghey who is an otherwise stellar actor. The one saving grace is the excellent soundtrack.
