"My Dark Country - A culture of Violence", a non-fiction autobiography of Danelle Murray is thrillingly eye opening.
The book covers various insights to her childhood, family life, achievements, and daunting exposure to violence and crime in South Africa.
Her courage to share her experiences is nothing but commendable and couldn't have been an easy task reliving the life threatening encounters.
The book overall was a very easy read and cause for tears, chills and heartwarming moments.
I found it inspiring, knowing that after all the horrific experiences she and her family had, she is still positive, humble and going above and beyond to make the wold a better place with the amazing work she does. A noteworthy book and author.
