Here's another hidden gem that fell victim to Covid-19. So many films didn't get the audience they deserved in 2020. "The Quarry" is one of them. Micheal Shannon and Shae Wigham save the film from collapsing under the weight of its brooding tone and deliberatly slow pacing. The unspoken tension between the two becomes increasingly captivating. I needed more Catalina Sandino Moreno and an ending that was a bit more satisfying. Minor quibbles for The Quarry.
