i genuinely don't understand why people think this game is bad. i haven't been this absorbed by a game in years, i don't want to put it down while i'm playing it and when i'm not playing it it's all i can think about.
the complaints about bugs and performance on PC i do understand, but i think everyone whining about the game being 30 fps on consoles are a bunch of babies. yes the optimization is dire and definitely should be improved, but seriously? out of all the things to complain about, the thing you're choosing to focus on is a steady, stable 30 fps? modern gaming has spoiled you all rotten.
the complaints about the narrative however, i don't understand. has everyone just... not played the original dragon's dogma? narrative was not a focus in that game, and what was there wasn't anything special either. the narrative is supposed to play a backseat to the experience of the game itself. why was everyone expecting a groundbreaking epic of a story from a series that borders on being a sandbox game? it's a miracle this game even has a story (i find the story pretty good and relatively interesting, honestly) good god.
if you're on ps5, do yourself a favor and just buy the game. play it. make your own judgement. ignore what everyone else is saying. just have fun. this is not a bad game. it is a worthy sequel to dragon's dogma.
