If you’re watching this as a fan of the graphic novels and hoped it would be true to them, prepare for some disappointment. I stopped halfway through episode seven. The try-hard approach to diversity in film is actually off-putting in this series…it feels very put on to the point it’s distracting and detracts from the storyline. Visually, the series is great and the casting decent even with the departures from the graphic novel - but that’s all that’s worth applauding.
