Unlike any of his other films, for starters. The narrative of the washed up actor (DiCaprio) and his flunky/sidekick (Pitt) is defined in the first ten minutes. However, that same plodding narrative, despite the excellent chemistry of the two actors, is the main driver of the movie until the last ten minutes. As he is known to do, he didn’t stick to the history of the horrendous crime. In this case, I am totally on his side as I dreaded seeing the historical ending, as once was enough to shock and cause heartbreak for a Country. His devout fans will find something to love about the film. The average movie goer will be more likely to be disappointed in this as a pure entertainment vehicle.
