This movie begins smoothly enough, two scenes running simultaneously in the film. A sullen teen , who is recently grieving the death of her beloved mother, and her mild-mannered Dad. They drive up to their lake house/cabin. Dad surprises daughter with his future bride-to-be and her son at the cabin. The teen runs away from the cabin after hearing the news that Dad is getting a new wife/son. Dad coddles the teen and when the action starts, I know why. His little girl has a bit of a temper. While the teen is out with her dogs, there is a home invasion. Four prison thugs had just escaped the cargo van, apparently while Dad and daughter were fussing. These felons were part of the vile Brotherhood, headed by Kevin James's character. The plot is that these thugs will destroy anything that gets in their way when it comes to finding some secret key that is hidden on the property. We are not told what the key represents, but apparently, its value merits long years of planning this scheme out. Of course, the savy teen is on the outside and holding the key. This film has plenty of gore, violence, blood and ick. Action packed, far-fetched, and yet, worth watching... not before bed though.
