Everybody who's reviewing this movie and giving it such low scores based on inaccuracy of a stereotype seems to be missing the point. The movie isn't necessarily trying to portray something that happens commonly, though I'm sure it happens more than people would like to admit. As far as I've seen, a lot of people who dislike this movie do so on the basis that they're offended by the politics of it. Cuck's intention is to depict what can happen in extreme circumstances, when the right mix of mental instability and conservatism meet online alt-right groups, racist extremism and poor life experiences. For what this movie is, it does it well: it provides a window into the mind of an extreme right wing conservative, and the dangers such extremism can pose. For anyone wanting to get political, the movie doesn't necessarily argue that conservatism is bad. It argues that taking things to the extreme is bad, and Cuck demonstrates what can happen when this ideology is taken to the extreme. If you're looking for an accurate depiction of a typical right wing conservative, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a film similar to Joker, but one focusing more on an unstable, racist and bigoted man, then you're in the right place.
