Well, if there is a show which shows how poorly women are treated and viewed in society by each other it is this one. The dancers clearly work hard to get to tryouts and then the ones that then make it to the next stage are then in for a world of pain. If it's not the gruelling practicing then its the two old "pros" who are pretty much exposing these women to a level of torture that they didn't go through all for a bit of entertainment. They change the people from who they were and mould them to what these two ladies decide is a Dallas cheerleader. There is no diversity to these cheerleaders, the people of colour are very quickly whittled out and it is pretty much blonde Caucasian ladies. There should be an element of fun to this but it just comes down to business and making money. Which is a shame, I would have really liked to see a show which doesn't objectify and bring down women, but I'm afraid this isn't it. I just don't enjoy this level of criticism, it's just unnecessary. Plus you never see them actually perform.
