This is a movie about how unprepared those with ethics and morals are to deal with those without. The movie is painful to watch - gritty, violent, and sad with an unhappy ending. But the viewer is compensated by fantastic acting, stunning cinematography, and a plot with exceptional twists and turns that isn’t fully resolved until the very end of the movie. If you are a cinema fan, do NOT miss this movie. This movie isn’t for children, for the sensitive, or for the easily disturbed. But the movie is a classic for the ages.

Although the story is ostensively told from the viewpoint of a young, female FBI agent, Kate, this isn’t really her story. Instead, this is the story of Alejandro (the Sicario) who is on his own mission for his own reasons. The movie also illustrates the rough and depressing life endured by the citizens of Mexico and South America when being exploited by the drug cartels.
