This movie had some surface-level enjoyable attributes. There were lots of fun and funny moments, and the chemistry between Eddie and Venom was on point. That being said, the whole film felt very rushed. They packed a brand new villain and a bunch of new symbiote characters into a frankly short movie, and still spent most of the time on drawn out scenes of Venom goofing off in ways that didn’t advance the plot. This movie was junk food in every sense: quick and pleasing in the moment, but ultimately lacking in the depth or cinematic nourishment that I was hoping to see in what is likely the last film of the series.
