Going from location to location knowing that near certain death looms everywhere, for me makes the tension rise and keeps me engaged. I personally love it when a game is brave enough to risk upsetting players to the point of tossing thier controllers. "Get good"
Two words that seem condescending or straight up rude for those who are not yet good are in fact encouraging. Because if you can keep on trying and learn a little bit with each death, you will grow as a player and in fact "Get good" and once you get there the game truly shines and you will feel a real sense of accomplishment and pride.
