At first glance the game is great. A few hours in and it becomes painfully obvious that the game's multiplayer is utterly disastrous. The maps are poorly built - many of them too small to support the overarching gameplay schema. Because of this, spawns are broken, not only where they are but also the obvious fact that you regularly spawn next to enemies and vice versa. It is as if this game was rushed within the last year and never play tested. It is that bad. Latency is an issue, hit detection is an enigma, and the most glaring issue has to be the 'Recon' specialty perk - whatever game designer thought this was a good idea, shame on you. Zombies is entirely lackluster for something '5 years' in development. All of the accoutrements are downright terrible, it makes the gunplay feeling the best it has in multiple iterations feel like a backhanded diss. If this is actually the best COD in years as some are saying, what is that actually saying about this once great series?
