To start, I do not recommend this show to any people under age of at least 12 or to people who do not like gore and blood. Yes, this show was made for adults so I do not blame anyone for age restrictions.
I’ve actually read a few reviews and watched this show recently so i’d like to explain how i found out about this first and if you haven’t watched the show yet, there might be spoilers in this review.
Thank you.
I found out about HTF by youtube shorts. I was casually swiping and saw an artist make a few edits that i liked (no information about account). I did research and found info about flippy’s ptsd and his twisted side (+ other characters’ disorders) It was a bit interesting-Researching, I did already find out that it wasn’t family friendly so i tried keeping distance. Later that night around 1:00 am i was pretty bored so why not try it out? ( Disclaimer that I do not have a care in the world about gore and blood type stuff ) I searched the goriest episode of HTF (wishy washy) and watched it for some reason, idk why.. Anyway, watching it, i realize it’s worse than i expected (not as in ‘bad’ negatively but i mean in gore) and it was a lot. I didn’t scream or even flinch but it’s crazy to see it at first glance. I watched a marathon of Fliqpy just killing his friends over and over. It’s terrifying to see harmless LOOKING animals from a somewhat, ‘adult’ horror cartoon but i soon found it a little tolerable and kept watching. Today, I don’t watch it because i finished it but i’d give this show a 4.5/5
Opinions-I believe it’s realistic that the personalities of the character’s are similar to actual human disorders and it really makes sense. The thing i don’t like about it is that this can get a little too out of hand and it starts seeming to be the same thing over and over and more violent. Again, Age restrictions were necessary and i respect it.
To some people, it satisfies them seeing these scenes and kinda creeps me out honestly. That’s them/you (if it is) and I’m not trying to judge but it is a trick to people’s eyes to see that kids MAY have a possibility to get a glance at this. And also, the fact that i see reviews that it’s childhood shows makes me think that it must be a little too aggressive at first. For a fact, im young but i think kids these days should just be raised normally and if they want, go try finding out about shows like these.
AGAIN..Age restrictions are set so this must seem unreasonable but yeah.
Concluding , for people who are interested in gore , cute animals and dark humor, might be the choice for you.
(To people who say to HATE this show, shouldn’t be heard out just like that. I believe it’s a little gross and disgusting but we shouldn’t judge dislikes and likes and act as if this is new. These type of shows aren’t as unusual and ‘new’ as you think. This generation is kinda freaky so get used to it, right? I feel as if im contradicting myself so let me make it clear that I do not care about these comments and I’m not trying to convince everyone to like it as so. I also think it’s uncomfortably disturbing at times and I apologize to anyone who doesn’t agree /w me on 1-star haters.)
Note: This show is recommended for audiences that are older (12+) and gore fans. Including, blood, organs/open bodies, bones, etc. A little too graphic for younger people .
Thank you for reading. I’d give this an overall, an alright review.
EDIT: Scanning through more reviews, yes, many children have/had high tolerability but just reminders , TYVM.
